Demystifying Trigger Points and Myofascial Pain
Expand Your Interventional Toolbox
Many clinicians are unaware that common orthopedic problems and sports injuries are often manifestations of myofascial trigger points that can be readily treated with Trigger Point Injections and Dry Needling techniques.
The Therapeutic Needling Institute is the premiere instructional resource designed to help you recognize the distinctive characteristics of myofascial pain, master Therapeutic Needling techniques, and enhance your musculoskeletal care.
As your skills at identifying trigger points and implementing Therapeutic Needling techniques improve, your patients will get better faster – often immediately – and your practice will grow.
Real patients, real problems, real solutions
Traditional instructional courses and video-based resources typically demonstrate their techniques on volunteer “patients” who do not actually have the problem that is being treated.
The Therapeutic Needling Institute’s approach is wholly different. Our platform simplifies the learning process by condensing the critical components of actual patient visits into integrated, user-friendly videos with accompanying teaching points. We give you all the pearls up front – and we encourage members to ask questions, post comments, and share feedback – all for the benefit and education of the community. TNI seeks to transform how we teach and learn musculoskeletal assessment and procedural technique.

What is Therapeutic Needling?
Therapeutic Needling is an empirically developed amalgam of Trigger Point Injection and Dry Needling techniques that alleviates acute and chronic pain and dysfunction from sports injuries and orthopedic problems by directly targeting muscle, fascia and associated nerves with a needle and an injectate (typically lidocaine and/or D5W, not corticosteroid), resulting in improved muscle, joint and nerve function.
